I work with six amazing young men, in a special-needs classroom, in a low-income school. All of these young men have been diagnosed with Autism or a Moderate Intellectual Disability. These young men although challenged with pencil and paper tasks have shown a great ability to learn vocabulary, math and other basic skills through the use of music. Some of these young men are non-verbal, but have connected through music and movement.
