I teach a special education preschool classroom. We are a title 1 public elementary school in Glendale, Arizona. More than 95% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch and our students come from all types of backgrounds. My students have a range of developmental disabilities and high speech needs. They are between the ages 3-5, which makes our room very fun and busy! We work daily to create a environment that allows all students to be successful while exploring all kinds of materials! Many of our students learn best through repetition and hands on experiences to bring learning to life. We work to use all kinds of activities and toys to teach not only academics, but social skills with their peers. This can be difficult with their limited language, but creativity and technology has been a huge resource to their success.
