The materials that I am requesting will be incorporated into my class's student-led morning routine. The hands-on calendar will replace an outdated visual calendar. The journals will give my students additional practice in basic math and life skills concepts and will allow for every student to participate in calendar activities at their own levels. With these materials, my students can learn concepts that will relate to their everyday lives. My class learns best when given hands-on, tactile and visual supports and need daily practice to help with their long-term comprehension. These materials will allow my students the opportunity to practice both basic math and life skills on a daily basis.
