Many of my students come from homes where the parents place a high value on education, but they have not had the money to pursue higher education. Over 80% of my students are on the free lunch program. Our school even gives every child a free breakfast to start the day off right. We care enough to feed the child's body, and I care enough to want nourish their minds with the richest materials I can to motivate them to learn.
