Our school is considered a Title I school because of the low socioeconomic area. More than half of the student body is on free and reduced lunch. To assist our students, the administration and faculty of this school have developed several programs to assist: a Food Bag program (students receive food for weekends and extended breaks), Angel Tree for Christmas, clothes and shoes as needed to name a few. Also, as a way to encourage positive student behaviors over negative, the school supports School Wide Positive Behavior Support, which positively rewards students' behavior with "money" to purchase items they would like. Our school does as much as they can to make sure that when students come to school, they feel safe and motivated to learn.
