I am honored to teach in a very wonderful, diverse, urban, middle school, (grades 6-8) in Indiana. We have approximately 750 students. 76% of our students are on Free and Reduced Lunch. Our school's ethnicity is 41.9% African American, 17.2% Caucasian, 27.5% Hispanic, 6.8% Asian, and 6.5% Multiracial. We have many English Language Learners from all around the world in our school. Many of these students are refugees. Choir is a place where my students feel safe, comfortable, and can express themselves through music. They take great pride in doing their best in their concerts and programs. It is a joy working with these students.
