My students are 5th and 6th grade middle school students in our district's gifted program. Our school houses Pre-K-7th grade and is made up students from low to middle social economic status. Many of my students are served by the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Although many of my students face an economic disadvantage, most of them will pursue some form of higher education because they are academically advanced. My students thrive with extra challenge and the opportunity to do things not covered in their general education classes, things like full specimen dissection.
