Teaching is my passion, and connecting students to books and making learning relevant and fun is what I attempt to do each day. My students are struggling readers and many claim to hate reading when they first step inside my classroom. It often takes just ONE book -- the RIGHT book -- to change a child's mind about the power of reading. In order to help them connect to the written word, I endeavor to constantly update my classroom library, ensuring it is filled with relevant and interesting books they can connect to.
