The blocks, pocket charts, and fire tablets I selected are materials that can be used to explore and teach across the subject areas. My goal is to use the Lego blocks to allow students to build and create a visual story and then engage in the writing process by writing their own stories using the blocks and figures as the setting and characters in their stories. I plan to use the magnetic tile blocks for students to explore on their own but also follow multi step directions in STEM activities. These activities will allow students to build and test their ideas and record their results. I plan to use the tablets as a listening station allowing students to use QR codes to scan and listen to stories out loud. My students will also be able to use these tablets to do research in class on topics we are covering. My goal is to provide engaging materials to allow students to explore and integrate cross curriculum lessons and activities.
