Teens are finding their “voice” and expressing themselves. We are "Writing to be Heard." Let us be inspired, so we can inspire! I am an eighth grade English and Speech teacher at a school where 86% of our students are Low Income, 33% are English Language Learners, and 69% are at-risk. Our students are positive and trying to connect to the world and make an impact through language. In a school where language could be a barrier, our students are using it to find themselves and connect to the world.
