I want to give my students the best resources to succeed in first grade. This classroom library will help us achieve our reading goals throughout the year. Currently, there is a limited amount of books in our library. Most of the books are my personal books, but unfortunately, I do not have enough for students to properly book shop. I want my students to have a leveled library with various choices to book shop from. My goal is to have a leveled library that promotes excitement and a love of reading independently. Having a full library means my students can shop for books that peak their interest. My students already love to read aloud and I know having a classroom library where they can pick and choose their books will help grow that excitement. The books would be used daily and will help my students become excellent readers.
