Welcome to M12! As I am a 5th grade special education teacher, my room is used for students who require extra content support or a quieter setting. I try to create an inviting classroom that my students look forward to learning in each day. By creating their own expectations for the classroom and understanding that it is not only my classroom but ours, the students are able to have positive learning experiences and be truly excited when coming in for a lesson. My students come from various culturally diverse backgrounds and therefore have different strengths and needs. A number of my students face challenges that can affect their ability to learn and grow, but despite those challenges, they come to school each and every day with a visual eagerness that warms my heart. My desire is for my students to find the joy in becoming lifelong learners.
