I teach in a very diverse school that is highly impoverished in NC. The students that I teach aren't accustomed to having the "finer" things in life. For this and many more reasons, I seek to create a classroom atmosphere that they can be proud of, want to be in, and are comfortable learning in. I am a strong believer that students learn best when they feel welcomed, loved, and supported My classroom is very inviting and pleasing to the eye. This is something we all take pride in.
