I teach third grade at a school in South Carolina. I have a diverse group of students - White, Hispanic, and African American - who mainly live in single parent households with a low income. Our school is situated in the middle of a neighborhood that has gone downhill in the last 20 years due to drugs and gang activity. However, the students are a great bunch of kids who want to learn! They deserve the best that we can give them, so that they will have a fighting chance in their future lives.

About my class
