I am lucky to teach in a classroom with 21 beautiful minds everyday. These young citizens attend a Title 1 school that has been faced with major budget cuts and with that came the loss of great teachers, necessary supplies, and heavy burdens.These students are mostly English Language Learners and many are the first in their family to be born in America. They are the hardest working and determined students you will ever meet. Despite their determination, they have long roads ahead of them. I work with each individual student, their parent, our small teaching staff and the community to help them be their personal best. Our small school gives students one extra hour of instruction compared to the rest of the district 3 days a week. They are the future leaders of this country.
