My third grade class is made up of diverse, energetic group of students. We do not have an indoor gym, nor do we have enough supplies for outdoor activities. Unfortunately, my students live in urban areas where outdoor play is restricted. They love being outdoors and look forward to PE every morning. A successful classroom runs on community and team building. Playing outdoors is just as important as learning in the classroom. My students thrive on structured activities where they are able to be active and work with others. The outdoor equipment listed in my project will help give my students a much needed outlet to exert their energy, build a healthy lifestyle, and, most importantly, provide opportunities for positive collaboration.
