My students have a variety of disabilities and participate in a transition to life class for students ages 18-22. We participate in the community one full day a week for Community Based Instruction. We are also in the community two other half days a week shopping and using the local public library. My students are very visual learners and benefit from watching how to perform an action through repetitive viewings of the correct way to perform a task. My students also benefit from being able to watch themselves perform an action and with guidance talk about how their performance matches the model performance.
