Our classroom community is a diverse group of fourth grade scholars from different parts of New York City. Although they live in one of the most exciting and progressive cities in the world, the overwhelming majority live in extreme poverty. The one thing linking all my scholars together is a love for learning that has not yet been altered by the challenges facing them daily. Combining their sense of wonder with resources that can help them quench their thirst for knowledge, I know we can set these students on the path to a bright future!
