Our school is located near Disneyland and my students love everything Disney! 80% of our school students are from low income homes and most of them are English language learners. My class in particular, is a class formed with the purpose of teaching listening and speaking skills in English, in addition to the basics of reading, writing, and math. I try my best to add visuals, songs, movement, and art to engage the students in basic skills practice. We learn best by using our hands-( manipulatives), and by offering many different tools to help us process what we are studying.
