That isn't always easy, because many of my students come into school behind in the skills they need and at a large disadvantage (58% free/reduced lunch). What that doesn't mean though, is that they cannot learn. And repeatedly, my students amaze me with the amount of growth they make when given the proper tools to learn. That means differentiating though, to meet the needs of each student, filling gaps/holes, and helping each student learn in the best way possible. One of the most encouraging trends in growth I've noticed with my students, is when I am able to integrate meaningful, targeted use of technology.
