I teach second grade in a Title One school. My classroom contains numerous children who receive additional support services to help them increase their knowledge base and be on grade level. Many of these students are low readers and math students. They require constant reminders and reinforcement to help them grasp the concepts they are learning. Whenever the learning is fun and entertaining they seem to grasp the information better and faster than the old drill, drill, drill.
