My students need rich quality, structured, highly interesting literacy materials including several sets of Classics along with tools such as Wipe and Write Markers, Learning Games and Tubs and folders for their learning centers to gain essential reading and writing skills that will fill in their gaps and help them to meet the grade 5 standards. I used to despise reading...but now I'm good at it! This project will greatly impact my students' learning to fill in the gaps where they are lacking the foundational literacy skills to help them learn and grow to meet the fifth grade standards through speaking, listening, reading, and writing with their peers in collaborative groups with this new engaging material. What a difference this material and this year will make in my students' lives to soar into their future more confident, self-assured, and competent for the world. This material allows for having fun while learning targeted skills. Our center work will be carefully crafted using this material to have students interact with each other to obtain necessary life skills and enjoy reading in the classroom and beyond.
