My school is a small school in a high-need area. This is the first year that we have had a place to actually perform laboratory experiments. Still, we are severely lacking in materials. According to the students, most of the science education they have received has been based on notes and textbook readings--not much experimenting. I believe being able to perform experiments is crucial to the students succeeding and having interest in science.
