Students in grades 6-8 in a struggling urban district attending the only accredited K-8 school in the district! A Spanish and French immersion program with super staff and dedicated parents inspire these students to learn and to perform at a level besting some private schools! Diversity, and income levels are well below the typical private or charter school, but the motivation and intelligence exceeds expectations! Debate is considered an exploratory class, and is always full of eager learners! Over the past 3 years the team has grown from 25 to 45, and now has some students waiting for an open seat! Students starting in 6th grade continue debate in High School, and are on track to debate with scholarships to college! Two former debaters went to High School Nationals in 2013, and several were recruited to private High Schools in the area!
