This year I have the humbling task of teaching in an underprivileged neighborhood in Illinois. As a minority, I know the importance of education for minorities and the impact that it can make on their lives. My students will be attending a brand new charter school that won't be completely finished until mid-November. As you can imagine, with a new building comes many obstacles that our teachers and students will have to overcome. Supplies and resources are very limited as finishing the building has become priority number 1.

About my class
