I teach at a Title I school. Many of my students are on free/reduced lunch, have never been to a live concert, nor have many of them been given the resources to exceed in other areas. The students at this school are absolutely wonderful! I arrive to school every day feeling as if I've won the lottery! That's how exciting it is to teach here. The students in this school give their best every day, even though there are times when they become frustrated. As their teacher and mentor, I want to provide a learning environment that is full of quality, excitement, and instructional differentiation. One major area that is lacking is drumming equipment. Drums are an important instrument that teaches the most important elements of music, rhythm, tempo. and steady beat. With the proper instruments at hand, I can provide my students an experience that will be exciting and unforgettable for them for years to come!
