Our school is located right in the middle of a big city, but we are fortunate to have a park nearby as well as some wild spaces on our school campus. We are a K-8 school focusing on environmental education in an urban setting. I teach a class of 26 third grade students (10 girls and 15 boys) who are funny, kind, silly and excited to learn. We have a very diverse classroom community. Students in my classroom speak over 5 different languages! We also have advanced learners and special education students. My students this year especially LOVE reading and are very excited at the prospect of being "members" in book clubs. They are a very social class and really love sharing their ideas.
