Elementary students will be provided with one of each item inside a gallon Ziploc bag to ensure students have access to supplies they may not be afforded at home during distance learning. In order to limit exposure to germs and infection once we return to school, they will bring so they do not have to share items in a community bin of supplies as we have in the past.
The world needs ART, and our students will benefit from using art to adjust and navigate this ever changing educational environment and build social-emotional skills, using individual supplies. Art is essential for self-expression, creativity, and exploration. Let's ensure students have the tools required to fully benefit from their ability to reflect and demonstrate their diversity. Self-expression may help students cope and manage their emotions in this time of change.
The most cost effective items have been chosen in order to stretch funds. In order to reduce financial strain on families right now, each student in the school will receive the following essential art supply items in their kit: a pair of scissors, 8 count set of washable markers, 1 permanent marker, 1 watercolor set, and 1 paintbrush and some colored pencils. These supplies will be used to explore art during this time of uncertainty.
