First graders are very active individuals! Though I try to make learning as interactive and engaging as possible, many students struggle to succeed in our classroom environment. The scholars in my class have a variety of different learning needs, and many of them lose focus easily at their desks. Flexible seating options will empower my students to choose how and where they learn best! By providing students with alternative seating options such as lap trays, balance balls, and stools to meet their unique learning styles, student engagement and participation will increase drastically. Our scholars work so hard to learn and grow each day. I would love to support their continued development by giving each child a chance to take charge of his/her learning and choose independent and collaborative work spaces that they enjoy and that can best meet their needs.
