We need these recycling bins to allow the teachers and students to help save our planet from being suffocated by trash. Students will take ownership of collecting, weighing and transporting the material to be recycled to the large recycling container outside our school. On a weekly basis the students will collect, weigh and record the recycling collected and then cart it all out to the large single-stream recycling container outside. In addition, students will create short ads to encourage recycling, which will be played on our school-wide morning news program. This initiative will instill in our students a life-long passion and belief that they can make a difference in the world in which they live.

About my class
