Thank you for taking the time to consider my project. All of the students in my class have special needs ranging from academic to behavioral and physical. Many times, I create alternative lessons and assessments to meet their individual needs. Although I teach the curriculum at their grade level, I often make modifications and accommodations to ensure that they can be successful at their individual ability levels. Most of my students find personal confidence in the fine arts, allowing them to utilize their creative connections and skills with art, music, drama, and alternative outputs. Since they often struggle to complete work in traditional forms, they benefit from the use of creative resources in the arts to reach other skills and modes of learning. With the art supplies, musical instrument, and puzzle, I can help students use different forms of communication and raise their self-confidence through personal expression.
