My students are in kindergarten and 1st grade, and they are all on the autism spectrum. My students are just like any other 6-7 year olds, they are full of energy, they love to play, and they are eager to learn. However, they struggle in areas including social skills, transitions, and sensory regulation. My students attend an urban, public school. The autism classroom is new to the school and the local community. We are working to spread diversity, awareness, and respect to all young learners.
