The students in our school come from a variety of backgrounds. They have not been successful in the traditional middle schools for a variety of reasons including but not limited to: anger issues, drug use, gang violence, involvement with the court system, failure to attend school, needing a smaller learning environment, overall disinterest in school. The students find success in our school because of the small student teacher ratio, the alternative campus and learning styles, and the way we create a learning environment that centers around student needs. We are a blended learning environment which basically means the students spend a good portion of their day using the latest technology to broaden their understanding of concepts taught in class. Our school uses a hands-on approach to learning, and the students love using technology within the classroom setting.
