Our public school serves community children as well as military families living on base. We currently have 155 Hispanic students and many are bi-lingual. That being said, some of our Hispanic parents are not bi-lingual and rely on their children to communicate to teachers for them. We are fortunate enough to have two bi-lingual teachers to help out with interpretation as needed but cannot help these families at home. We would like to add the Rosetta Stone software program to our parent center. This would then be available daily to any family members who want to come in and learn the English language. The software could also be used by students as needed if they need help learning the English language.
