My students are third grade scholars, which means that literacy is absolutely crucial to their success in the coming years. With less than 20% of our school's students reading at a proficient level, the odds don't seem to be in their favor. It is up to us to help these students beat those odds! Many students are already unable to attend public libraries given that their parents work long hours and struggle to make ends meet. I want to make sure that my students have free access to book that they will want to devour! They need to know that reading is one of life's greatest joys. After all, they will only reach proficiency if they READ! They will only read if they access to books they are excited about!

About my class
