My first graders are a group of enthusiastic, imaginative readers. They love to read stories on their own, to one another, and to me. They also love to listen to stories being read to them. As a teacher of twenty, I unfortunately do not get to read to them individually as often as I would like. We are also a part of a low-income, Title I school; thus, my goal as their teacher is to provide authentic experiences in school that they may not receive otherwise.
