My fifth grade reading classroom services over 90 students from the Rochester City School District. Fifth grade is students' first year at our charter school, Rochester Prep; during this year, it's my job to make sure that students make significant gains in reading and establish a love of reading! Over 90% of my students receive free or reduced lunch, and families from all over the district fight for spots at our school through our lottery system. My students enter my room with varying levels of reading mastery, but with your help, we can make sure that all of our students graduate from Rochester Prep ready for high school and college.
