My students need age-appropriate toys, board books, center materials, puzzles and furniture for them to use, explore, and build solid fine motor skills while being creative. My students need dress-ups, puzzles, grocery store products, games and activities that focus on dramatic play, problem solving, letter and shape recognition, and age appropriate toys to use to explore with at Learning Center time. Our students will use these materials to explore their abilities through pretend play and problem solve to fit puzzles together. The seating group will help them learn how to sit appropriately. These activities will be used during Learning Center times throughout the day as we read and play while learning together. They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they make words, numbers, and sets as we explore counting skills. Most of my students do not have access to educational, developmentally appropriate toys at home. If you fund this project, you will provide these kids with hours of exciting and appropriate toys, board books, and supplies for our centers to help them build fine motor skills, along with the materials they need to be successful, lifelong learners! They need lots of practice with directed play and fun to grow and learn!
