My second graders are eager learners ready to read the harder books, experiment more with science, and tackle the challenging math problems. They are excited about expanding their knowledge of their community, their country and the world! I teach second grade in a small neighborhood school in Chicago, Illinois. I have 30 second graders without a classroom assistant. I have a large number of children in my classroom who are English Language Learners as well as several Diverse Learners. Each child is at a different level with different abilities, but we all feel as if we are one big family learning together from one another.
