Although it is hard to believe, some classrooms don't have basic supplies like a class set of quality dictionaries. Please feed my 8th graders' natural curiosity and love of words with this basic gift. I promise I will never use the dictionaries for busy work; students will be taught to use them as essential tools to hone their individual writing craft. Precise thinking requires precise words, and old fashioned real dictionaries still matter.
