In 3rd Grade, students are asked to be creative, cooperative, communicative, and collaborative workers. My Third Grade Thinkers are learning how to use and understand academic vocabulary, answer text-dependent questions, and write using a variety of sources. In our classroom there are many students who are designated English Language Learners. These learners find it difficult, at times, to produce at a 3rd grade level...and find it hard to strive. So, I do my best to provide an interesting and fun environment. Our room is bright and upbeat with many displays of student work and visuals to support learning. My Favorite Quote: "Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning." I believe that in order for my students to become academically successful they need to enjoy the process.
