Therapeutic horseback lessons for children with multiple disabilities; what an opportunity! I teach a profoundly mentally disabled class, ages 5 - 10 in South Carolina. Of my nine students, eight use wheelchairs as their primary source of mobility. One is on the verge of walking independently. Their diagnoses cover a broad range, including but not limited to cerebral palsy, general developmental delays, visual impairments, and seizure disorders.
