I teach sixth grade students from all backgrounds, not only culturally, but also socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Students entering our school come from the area elementary schools. Students are interested in learning the ways of a middle "school-er" and becoming not only socially acceptable but look forward to learning academics in an engaging way. Providing a safe learning environment where students can share ideas freely and work in cooperative learning groups increases student success and helps them feel a sense of accomplishment.

About my class
