I have a great group of kinders. They come from a rural, suburban area. Most of them speak another language. So they are trying to not only learn in their own language but trying to learn and master English and the standards to help them succeed. The majority of my students have both parents working trying to make ends meet. They either attend an after school day facility or go home to their high school sibling. The educational level of the parents is not that high either. The support at home is at a minimal. I don't get too many volunteers in the classroom to help. Unfortunately the school that they attend doesn't qualify for support from the state. My students are eager to learn. They all have different learning styles and it is my job to reach each and every single one.
