Students of this generation simply do not have the love and passion to read like they once had. When it comes time for Daily 5, in my third grade classroom, I can ofter hear moans of disapproval from my students. The students in my classroom come from low income areas. Some of the students live in a home led by single parents. Due to having a single family home, many of the students arrive to school without the energy or desire to learn.
