WIth the addition of 5 new iPads in the classroom I envision great new educational endeavors. I believe the new technology can enhance many classes throughout the curriculum. iPads can increase independent learners in many ways!!! During Math, they can be used to practice basic skills with addition, subtraction, and multiplication drills or for multi-step word problems. They can use the iPads in Science and Social Studies to research topics in groups. They can be utilized during reading with a pair of earphones to listen to books online. During writing we can use online dictionaries and thesauruses. Oh the possibilities are endless I can't wait!!
