I am the math and science teacher of two 3rd grade groups of children! Within our classroom, we have two Guinea pigs and a hamster. Though these students are all from different backgrounds, have different ability levels, and different personalities...they have one thing in common- their love for learning and investigating many different things. Our 3rd grade general education class includes many ability levels, including students that are gifted, deaf and hard of hearing, ELL and other exceptionalities. Our school is a Title 1 school and we lack some resources to support these inquiring minds. Often, we are on a hunt for enough materials so that all students are able to use them actively. Acquiring these tools will only enhance our experiences as scientists. These students work hard and are eager to see the results of their hard work!
