MANY OF MY STUDENTS COME FROM NEIGHBORHOODS THAT MAY NOT BE THE SAFEST OR QUIETEST. The students that attend this Title I school have no one at home to help with homework or make sure it is completed. However, they attend school on a daily basis seeking a safe place to be while learning. Each of my students are upper elementary students that receive small group instruction on a daily basis in order to work on deficits and then placed in my class for inclusion. Although the majority of my students have been classified as having a disability and at least two grade levels below, they strive each day to be better.
