I am fortunate enough to teach 20 active and inquisitive kindergarten students in the morning and assist my co teacher with 20 kindergarten students in the afternoon. I work at a Title 1 school in Northern California. My kindergarten students are eager to grow and learn together and they come from extremely diverse backgrounds. We are multicultural, from many different family make ups and varied economic levels, but mostly socioeconomically disadvantaged with approximately 70% of the students at our school qualifying for free or reduced lunch. With our challenges we always come together each year as a classroom community.
