The students in my class are eager to learn and take pride in their classroom supplies. They treasure the books and materials given to them and are very distressed when books or materials are misplaced or damaged. It is especially disheartening to them since they know they do not have the money to replace them. Having supplies that fit their needs is the difference between closing the achievement gap and not. Every material matters, every item counts.
